TRADITIONAL PRACTIcE

In Mysore-style classes, you move at your own pace through the Ashtanga Primary Series with one-on-one support from a teacher. There’s no group cueing — just breath, movement, and quiet presence. Whether you’re brand new or well into your practice, you’ll be guided personally in a communal setting.

FAQS

  • Mysore is a traditional way of practicing Ashtanga yoga. It’s not a led class — instead, students move through the series at their own pace, receiving individual support and adjustments from the teacher. Think: one-on-one guidance inside a quiet, shared room.

  • Nope. You’ll be taught the sequence gradually and repetitively — it’ll live in your body before your mind catches up. Over time, it becomes second nature. Until then, we’ve got you.

  • Perfect. Mysore was made for you. Start on a Monday or Tuesday at 6:30am so we can introduce you slowly and personally. We’ll build your practice one posture and one breath at a time.

  • Monday to Friday: 6:30–9:30am

    Sunday: 8:00–10:30am

Arrive at least 45–60 minutes before the window ends so you have time to settle in.

  • We’ll show you where everything is, ask a few questions, and then get you moving. Expect to be on your mat about 30–45 minutes for your first few visits. It grows over time. You’ll sweat. You’ll feel seen. You might feel weird in a good way.

  • In a led class, the teacher cues the whole room together — everyone moves in sync. In Mysore, you move at your own pace while the teacher supports you individually. There’s no music. No flow to follow. Just breath, presence, and quiet attention.
